Halloween and Emergency Kit
Dear Friends;
It's noon now ( 6:00 pm in Brazil ).
Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween party.
Halloween was everywhere here, in shop windows, supermarkets, schools, banks, restaurants and on the porch of houses ( most of them were decorated with giant pumpkins, which were grown especially for the occasion ).On the 31st, you could meet from Dracula to Vampire.
Although there were a lot of parties throughout the city, the authorities now worry about how unprepared Americans are for natural disasters.After hurricane Katrina ( a hurricane is unlikely to hit Eugene ), people have been encouraged to take proper precautions, and have an emergency kit equipped with supplies to last 72 hours ( first aid kit, flashlight, money, water, food, batteries, spare keys and shoes, blankets, warm clothes, battery-powered radio ).I don't have the first aid kit yet, but I promise it will be bought soon. The Winter is coming and we may have snowstorms ( it has been too windy, rainy and cold, but it's still Fall ).
What about the weather there?

Sweet I truly enjoyed the way u wrote ur comment in ur fotolog. That seems to be those terrible compositions we do in Thomas. You wrote all the verb tenses, u used connectors and the paragraphs were extremely well developed with good arguments and so on (Actually I think that after the Pre test I got more sensitive to these kind of things, I mean, all the texts I read I carefully take a look at it and try to see all the structures used and all the verb tenses to see if they were employed correctly... tell me: O QUE O MICHIGAN NAO FAZ COM UM POBRE SER HUMANO COMO EU!!! But anyway, if I were a teacher I would certainly give u a good grade. (7.5 would be it. Just kidding!!! heheheh)
I am here to say that I wish I were in the USA to see all these things u mentioned such as the pumpkins, the people dressed as Dracula, ghosts... That might be great!!! The fact is that the Michigan is coming and so is my fear…
Hey, I´m a new student! I´m taking top flex! My nickname is Busy Ramone!! =)
I really enjoyed your blog Bené!! It´s terrific!!
Sorry about my grammar mistakes!!
Hi Bené, I can't imagine myself teaching Portuguese. I am sure I would be able to do it, but it just seems so strange. I guess I would be kind of uncomfortable at first. So, how was that lunch you mentioned with all the food from different countries? Did you try anything you really liked? What did you cook? Miss you
Erika
