Halloween and Emergency Kit

Dear Friends;

It's noon now ( 6:00 pm in Brazil ).

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween party.
Halloween was everywhere here, in shop windows, supermarkets, schools, banks, restaurants and on the porch of houses ( most of them were decorated with giant pumpkins, which were grown especially for the occasion ).On the 31st, you could meet from Dracula to Vampire.
Although there were a lot of parties throughout the city, the authorities now worry about how unprepared Americans are for natural disasters.After hurricane Katrina ( a hurricane is unlikely to hit Eugene ), people have been encouraged to take proper precautions, and have an emergency kit equipped with supplies to last 72 hours ( first aid kit, flashlight, money, water, food, batteries, spare keys and shoes, blankets, warm clothes, battery-powered radio ).I don't have the first aid kit yet, but I promise it will be bought soon. The Winter is coming and we may have snowstorms ( it has been too windy, rainy and cold, but it's still Fall ).
What about the weather there?
